Highway 60 Ontario One of Top 10 Road Trip Drives in Canada

The Ottawa Citizen reports that Algonquin Park is the main feature of this top 10 rated road trip with lots of side trip possibilities.  I certainly agree that Highway 60 is a must road trip destination as it will lead you into the northern part of the Ontario's Muskoka region over to the northern part of the Ottawa Valley. Check out the links for Highway 60 going east from Huntsville If you are travelling from Ottawa or Bancroft, pick up Highway 60 going west in Barry's Bay at Highway 62. Check out Algonquin fall colour road trips in and around the Algonquin Area.

National Aboriginal Day--Education for Canadians

Sainte-Marie among the Hurons created an informative, active, educational and fun day for all ages on National Aboriginal Day June 21.  If by chance you missed this event you can still catch a weekend of events on June 25, 26 as National Aboriginal Month continues with the Aboriginal Festival Weekend. 

For more than 2 hours the kids were kept busy and fascinated with a variety of activities including  story telling and drumming, outdoor lacrosse in the fort, making a bone game, water proofing a canoe with pine tar, making faces in clay, decorating a mini-paddle, and watching historic native dancing...the chicken dance was very entertaining.   Stay in Midland area with a variety of accommodation.
