Drawing on the considerable musical talents of members of Barrie’s financial services and medical professions, the annual Battle of the Bands at the MacLaren Art Centre has become one of the most celebrated musical events of the year!  The night features live music, dancing and delicious cuisine.
Proceeds from the event support the MacLaren Art Centre, the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and the Kempenfelt Rotary Club.  This year’s event feature the musical stylings of  The Bailouts, The Coalition, Code Blue, Tres Kool, Bunker, Vital Organs and Threebird.
Tickets $50,  on sale February 3 at 10:00 am. (maximum 10 tickets per person)

The Jackrabbit Festival is a great time for kids to take part in activities with all the kids from that day's Jackrabbit sessions.  They will take part in several on snow activities like scavenger hunts, obsticle courses, relay races, monster ski challenges, games like soccer or tag and lots more.  After the on snow actvities Jackrabbit kids are brought back to the main chalet area where they have their hot chocolate and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows by the fire.
