Ontario Camping Resort Style: Pod Camping in a bed!!

Campers who want to enjoy North America's great outdoors but want a more comfortable camping experience should check the new installation of the pod™ by Algonquin Pod Company of Barry's Bay, Ontario.

 Hard Wall Tent--Keeps you dry

The very first installation of the pod™ occurred at Chippawa Cottage & Camping Beach Front Resort on beautiful Kamaniskeg Lake.  This new “glamping” experience will add more rental capacity at the resort and respond to several requests for a covered camping option.  Algonquin Pod Company owner Craig Kelley was proud to exclaim, “Chippawa Cottage Resort was the perfect location to showcase the pod to the camping world.

New Generation of Campers

With recent investments in the resort, our units fit in perfectly with the next generation of camping experiences.  Chippawa owners, the Dunn family have been very supportive of our company from the beginning and we look forward to years of pod camping together.”
Custom manufactured in Ontario, with nearly 100 percent Ontario wood products from nearby sustainable forests, the pod™ provides a host of camping benefits;
  • a tent-like structure that’s already set up when you arrive on site,
  • the avoidance ofrain and weather changes,
  • privacy (lockable doors),
  • an insulated structure that allows for spring and fall  season camping,
  • no need to collapse a tent and dry it out after the vacation is over.

Each Camping Pod has a deck

Camping Alternative at Ontario Resort

Chippawa Cottage Resort is renowned for being a family place, with one of Ontario's longest safe sandy beaches.  Situated beautifully on Kamaniskeg Lake and adjacent to the Madawaska River, Chippawa boasts over 225 acres of unspoiled wilderness.  Owner Donald Dunn proudly states, “We’ve always been extremely happy to provide one of the best family vacation experiences in Ontario. Serviced by a main dining hall and lodge, our facility has a fantastic mixture of cottages, luxury house rentals, RV sites and rough tenting areas.  The inclusion of the pod was a natural progression in our evolution of accommodation offerings.”
Pod Campers are invited to share their experiences online at www.facebook.com/PodCamping. Online booking information can be found at Chippawa Cottage Camping RV and Beach Resort
